Carrabba's

I could NEVER get David to take me to an Italian restaurant, but now that Colin has a new love for spaghetti, he has conceded to going. I was in heaven - salad, wine, pasta, garlic bread - mmmmmm, my favorite! Colin thought it was pretty fantastic too. He also decided that it was easier to slurp his pasta "Lady and the Tramp" style rather than to use his fork. Every time I tried to "pre-load" a noodle onto his fork, he would scream "mine" and dive in for more. We always share our food but evidently not at Carrabba's.

(After I cleaned him up) I got an after-dinner-kiss for dessert.

Welcome Emma Rylee Goldstein

Our friends Robyn and Brian welcomed a baby girl on June 28th. Baby Emma weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces and measured 20.5 inches long. She arrived a month early but is doing great - check out the new family pic!

Backyard Makeover Week 2

Lots of progress in the backyard this week! The retaining wall is completely installed and the stone bench is finished. Also, take a look and see if you can find the berm...you can't (can you tell I'm happy about that?!?) The grade of our yard has been raised almost a foot higher. We now have a nice, flat play surface - it makes it look so much bigger. Lastly, the turf is being installed this week and next. It's hard to believe it's fake grass because it looks SO real.

Houston Children's Museum

We spent 2 days at the Children's Museum last week. It was SO fun and a perfect escape from the 100 degree Houston weather. There was a special room just for "tots" (under 3 years) and Colin and cousin Charlotte thought it was the best!

Colin took a new friend on a drive.
