Easter Weekend

This weekend was SO much fun that I did not want it to come to an end. We traveled to Houston for my best friend, Christiana's wedding. Thursday we attended the rehearsal dinner. Friday was the wedding, and I was a bridesmaid. It was a fabulous event - no detail was overlooked (helps when you are a wedding planner).

David and I celebrated the evening w/o Colin and stayed the night at a hotel. This was our first real get away since he was born. It was nice to get a good night's rest but we were very ready to see our boy on Saturday morning. The funny thing is that he slept the entire night - 12 hours - on my mom's watch (he has not done this for me since December). WTH? I guess he was trying hard to impress his grandparents.

Sunday we celebrated Easter with David's family. We had a wonderful meal at Aunt Ducky's, and Colin got lots of attention in his new Easter outfit. I could have just eaten him up in those overalls (thanks Letty and Pappa D)!!! BTW, Easter may be my new favorite holiday. Now that I have a baby it is SO fun to watch kids decorate and hide eggs and dress up in melt-your-heart spring attire. Not to mention the chocolate bunnies!!!

Colin Can Crawl

Look out...here he comes!!!

Noodles!

My baby weekly email gave me an idea to try - noodles! So we decided to cook up some spaghetti for Mr. Colin to play with. If you would like to try this with your baby, just know that it will be messy and your dog will be equally as interested.







The experience reminded me of the movie, Patch Adams where the old lady said her ultimate dream was to swim in a pool of noodles. It certainly would be fun!!!

Another Beautiful Day!

Colin loves spending time outside. There is something very soothing about the sunshine, chirping birds and nice breeze. I brought a big blanket for us to lie down on, but somehow Colin ended up in the grass. Check out his reaction to the new surface and textures...

Birthday

Believe it or not, today makes 31! This time last year we were in Vegas with a little bean in the belly. I remember sitting by the Wynn pool asking David, "Do I look pregnant? Do you think anyone can tell?"

Needless to say, I'm enjoying a very different birthday celebration this year. Today Colin was the first to wish me happy birthday at 4:30 am. He even beat my grandmother who usually is the first to call! haha

Siblings Sharing

We recently realized that Colin and Monster are about the same size now. David decided to test that theory and have Monster try on Colin's shirt. Yep, it fits!

On the Move

Colin is on the move - I wouldn't exactly call it "crawling" but it might as well be. I no longer have the luxury of putting him down and trusting that he will stay in one place. Why didn't I take advantage of that more when I had the chance? It's time to get a baby jail, I mean play pen. :)
