Colin's Comedy

This is SO bad but SO funny. Colin has figured out that spitting his food out will get a reaction out of me. I've been telling him "no" but he doesn't seem to care. I can't tell you how hard it was for me not to laugh right along with him - even though I was covered in Mac and Cheese spray. We played the video for David when he got home. Colin laughed just as hard WATCHING and HEARING himself on the computer.

Mother's Day

Now that I'm a mom, I can officially celebrate Mother's Day. David and I always joked that Monster qualified as our child so we were technically parents at a very early age. But there's no question, this year I felt like a MOM! And what do mother's want: To sleep, eat and get massages. And that's exactly what I did!

David took the morning shift which allowed me to sleep in until the fabulous hour of 9:30. I think he had a hard time keeping Colin busy because they ended up at Home Depot walking the aisles (glad I got to sit that one out.) When they returned, we went to a Mother's Day brunch, and I was home in time to get to my favorite place in the world, Massage Envy, for a 1-hour Swedish! A perfect day for a new mom.

Standing in Crib

Surprise! This is how I found Colin after his afternoon nap...

(We recreated the position so David could see it when he got home.)

And this is how he did it...

Pulling Up

Watching my wobbly baby pull up on anything and everything is so scary. I know he's going to suffer some bumps and bruises along the way, but watching him fall is going to be tough. Gravity is a bitch (and so are hardwood floors). Say a prayer that Colin quickly develops amazing balance, strength and cat-like reflexes.

Ski Shores

Ski Shores is one of the best kept secrets in Austin. It's a spot that literally makes you feel like you're on vacation bc it's right on the lake. People actually pull up in boats to come eat here but you can also take the long winding road down to it as well. We took Colin for a laid back lunch and showed him Lake Austin for the first time. As soon as Colin can swim I'm going to have him fitted for skis. And I'll take lessons right along side him.

Day at the Park

WOW! Tons of new activities at the park. The only thing that would have made it more fun - if we had let him eat the rocks. Parents can be so over protective!
